OFFICIAL: Liverpool and Arne Slot Part ways

Arne Slot has left Liverpool after two seasons in charge at Anfield.

The Dutchman enjoyed a stunning debut campaign on Merseyside, guiding the Reds to the Premier League title, but endured a much tougher second year before ultimately securing a place in next season’s Champions League.

Speculation had been mounting over Slot’s position for several weeks. Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola, who is now a free agent after parting ways with the Cherries at the end of the season, is understood to be the leading candidate to succeed him.

While the Spaniard is currently the frontrunner for the Anfield vacancy, Liverpool are considering other options. RC Lens manager Pierre Sage is also in the frame, having recently fueled rumors by admitting to French television that managing Liverpool would be his “dream.” VfB Stuttgart’s Sebastien Hoeness is also admired by the club’s hierarchy as they begin their search for a new manager..
