Roma Sign Leonardo Balerdi on Loan from Marseille

Roma have officially confirmed the signing of Argentine defender Leonardo Balerdi from Marseille during the current transfer window.

The club have clarified that the move is initially a loan deal, with an option to make it permanent.

The 27-year-old has made over 200 appearances across Europe’s top leagues, having come through spells at Borussia Dortmund and Marseille. He has also earned 11 caps for Argentina.

Balerdi has been handed the number 26 shirt as he begins his new chapter in Serie A.
