Tunisia appoint Chaâbani as new manager
The Tunisian Football Federation has appointed Moïne Chaâbani as head coach of the national team on a four-year contract through to 2030.
Chaâbani takes charge of the Eagles of Carthage following a turbulent period for the national team during the 2026 World Cup.
Former manager Sabri Lamouchi was dismissed after a heavy 5-1 defeat by Sweden in their opening group-stage match. French coach Hervé Renard was subsequently brought in to salvage the campaign, but was let go after Tunisia failed to progress to the knockout rounds.
The federation is now relying on Chaâbani’s extensive domestic and continental experience to rebuild the squad as they target success in upcoming tournaments and qualification for the next World Cup.
