Al-Shabab sign Croatian defender Tin Jedvaj from Panathinaikos
Saudi Pro League side Al-Shabab have completed the signing of Croatian defender Tin Jedvaj from Greek club Panathinaikos.
The 30-year-old centre-back has agreed a one-year contract with the Riyadh club, which includes the option to extend for a further season.
Announcing the deal on X, Al-Shabab welcomed the defender by posting: “A new fighter in the capital’s giant.. Yedvai Shabani.”
Jedvaj brings a wealth of top-flight European experience to the squad, having previously featured for Dinamo Zagreb, Roma, Bayer Leverkusen, and Augsburg before his stint in Greece.
The 26-cap international was also part of the Croatia squad that reached the 2018 World Cup final in Russia, picking up a silver medal.
Al-Shabab hope the arrival of the experienced defender will add much-needed solidity to their backline as they look to build a competitive side for the new campaign.
