Official: Fabio Grosso Named Fiorentina Head Coach

Fiorentina have officially appointed Fabio Grosso as their new manager, with the 48-year-old former Italy defender and World Cup winner stepping in to replace Paolo Vanoli. Grosso has committed to the club by signing a contract that runs until June 30, 2028.
According to football journalist Nicolo Schira, the agreement features an option to extend the deal for an additional season, and Grosso is set to earn an annual salary of 1.2 million euros. This latest move adds to his extensive managerial resume, which includes previous stints at Bari, Verona, Brescia, Sion, Frosinone, Lyon, and Sassuolo, following his early coaching development in the Juventus youth academy.
The managerial shift comes on the heels of a challenging campaign for the Florence-based club. Fiorentina concluded the 2025-2026 Serie A season in a disappointing 15th place, managing to secure just 42 points.
