Real Madrid forward Gonzalo Garcia completes Fulham move

Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Garcia has completed a transfer to Fulham in a deal reported to be worth €40m (£34.6m) plus €2m in add-ons.
The 22-year-old forward has signed a five-year contract with the club until the summer of 2031, with Fulham holding an option to extend the deal by a further 12 months.
It is understood that Real Madrid have also retained a 30% sell-on clause for any future transfer.
Garcia originally joined the Spanish giants’ academy in 2014 as a 10-year-old, spending 11 seasons at the Santiago Bernabéu as he progressed through the youth ranks to reach the first team.
During his tenure with the senior squad, Garcia helped the club lift both the La Liga title and the FIFA Club World Cup.
In an official statement, Real Madrid praised the forward as an “example of commitment” who consistently represented the club’s values, wishing him and his family success in England while assuring him that the Bernabéu’s doors “will always remain open.”
